Empanada (“Empanada,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the marketing website at www.empanada.social (the “Site”) and the Empanada product at app.empanada.social (the “App”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you visit the Site, request a demo, use free tools on the Site, or otherwise interact with us.

By using the Site, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

You may give us information when you:

• Request a demo or join a waitlist (typically your work email, and optionally your name, company, job title, or LinkedIn profile)
• Use the LinkedIn Profile Score tool (an uploaded LinkedIn PDF, posting frequency, and an email address to receive results)
• Contact us by email or otherwise
• Start a trial or create an account in the App (account, billing, and product-usage information)

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical and usage information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring URLs, pages viewed, links clicked, approximate location, and timestamps. We collect this information using cookies, pixels, and similar technologies.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Site, App, and our services
• Respond to demo requests, questions, and other communications
• Send transactional messages and, where permitted, product or marketing emails (you can unsubscribe at any time)

3. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember preferences, and measure performance. In production, the Site loads Google tags for Google Analytics and Google Ads.

• Professional advisors such as lawyers, accountants, or insurers, when needed
• Authorities if we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or security
• A buyer or successor if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets

Third parties process information under their own privacy policies when you interact with them directly (for example, when you schedule a demo on Cal.com or complete checkout in the App).

5. The Empanada App

If you create an account or start a trial at app.empanada.social, we collect additional information needed to provide the product, such as account credentials, workspace details, LinkedIn connection data you authorize, usage activity, and payment information processed by our payment provider. That information is used to operate your account, bill for the service, and improve the product.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Demo and marketing contacts are retained until you ask us to delete them or unsubscribe, subject to records we must keep. LinkedIn PDFs uploaded for scoring are processed to generate results and are not intended to be kept longer than needed for that purpose.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Opt out of marketing emails (via the unsubscribe link)
• Opt out of certain advertising cookies as described above

8. International visitors
